i started the CAD program at 44, permanently disabled from a brain injury. i never wanted to be disabled, so i started college. Em and i immediately connected. i was reading at a 3rd grade level, and after i started the program, i was sure that i couldn't make it thorough. i would never have made it without Em. she was the best of friends. we took tough classes, like physics and math classes together so we could help each other through the assignments and tests. she was my savior, without her i wouldn't have made it through the program. im so sorry, words cant describe. im planning on coming to her service. i have a painting that i was working on for her... she wanted to purchase one of my works. im almost finished, and hope to have it finished before i come up Monday. I would like to give it to you/colt and kane. i would like them to know how much emily meant to me... she was another daughter, i live in ann arbor now, and my family still lives in iron mtn. i always stopped to see Em each year when i came through town. God bless, and send you comfort. "The CAD dad"

I was saddened to see Emily’s obituary in our local newspaper. I came to know Emily when I taught her son, Kane , in second grade at Cameron School. She was a young, loving, devoted mom who cared deeply and cherished her twin boys. She took such good care of them and never hesitated to volunteer in the classroom. I will keep Kane and Colt in my prayers along with their grandparents.

We are so sorry to hear of Emily's untimely death. We had been re-acquainted with her when she waitressed at the Bayview Inn the past few years. Ben and I were deeply saddened to hear of Emily’s passing. We always enjoyed having her over to our house in Engadine. Her beautiful smile could light up a room. Ben always called her’Red’ because of her red hair. My fondest memory is the day Emily, Ruby, and I painted my kitchen. Then we went on to paint the floor! Needless to say, that didn’t work out well! Emily was a wonderful person, and we will always treasure her memory. Heartfelt condolences and many prayers go out to her family. Ben and Carol
