Raleigh Stearns Harrington
Raleigh Stearns Harrington, 25, of Petoskey and St. Ignace, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 16, 2018, near St. Ignace. He was born January 30, 1993, in Petoskey to Timothy Harrington and Holly (Stearns) Harrington.
 
Mr. Harrington was graduated with honors in 2011 from LaSalle High School, attended the University of Michigan for two years, and would have completed a degree in accounting this spring from Lake Superior State University. 
He was an avid reader and  loved the outdoors. He had a wide variety of interests including canoeing and kayaking, paintballing, skiing, hiking, and traveling. He enjoyed off-roading, working on his Jeep, and touring back roads with his fellow Jeep club members.
 
He is survived by his parents, Tim and Holly Harrington; his brother, Zachary; his grandmother, Cheryl Stearns, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
 
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Daniel and Luceil Harrington and Fred Stearns; an aunt, Cindy (Harrington) Beach, and a cousin, Clyde Beach.
 
A gathering in his memory will be held Thursday, April 5, beginning at 4 p.m. at Little Bear East Arena in St. Ignace. Friends and family are encouraged to bring their stories and memories to share. Memorials may be directed to the family for a fund to be established to donate to future search and rescue operations in Mackinac County. Donation envelopes will be available at the service.
